23 Nov 24 (Sat): 10 am to 1 pm
(H1/H2) Demand and Supply – key answer structures relating to questions on impact on a market (tested most regularly in past 10 A Level examinations) will be covered. Students can expect application skills to be significantly strengthened after going through Mr Koh’s answering frameworks.
24 Nov 24 (Sun): 10 am to 1 pm
(H1/H2) Market Failure – traditionally seen as one of the more straightforward topics in content, but L3 skills need to be honed. Students will gain exposure to scoring in Balance, Content and Context and evaluation templates to power up their market failure scores.
25 Nov 24 (Mon): 10 am to 1 pm
(H2) Market Structures – making sense of the chapter and predicting exam questions through a Features; Behaviour and Performance perspective. Key essay structures will be imparted. Dynamic question types such as “strategies that a firm can adopt to deal with an adverse event” and key answering techniques will be shared. This is not an easy chapter to understand. The lesson with Mr Koh promises that students will gain clarity and confidence in answering Market Structure questions.
26 Nov 24 (Tue): 10 am to 1 pm
(H1/H2) National Income – students will learn Mr Koh’s intuitive framework – the DIRCO approach that equips students with 14 points to scoring in questions on standards of living (popular exam topic). Given that case study extracts relate to mainly macro data on an economy’s performance, CSQ skills specific to this topic will be imparted. Writing structures for questions involving multiplier (when to invoke full multiplier) and the Circular Flow of Income will also be imparted. Do not underestimate the importance of this topic.

Testimonials on Mr Koh’s JC Economics Tuition
Mr Koh has been of great help in helping me better understand economic concepts by delivering them in a clear and concise manner. He offers tried and tested answering techniques to help ace exam questions while also providing great insight into the subject outside of the curriculum.
Initially when I took H1 ECONS, I felt like I was waffling through the subject. People around me said it was common sense and it was apparent I lacked it. C and Ds seemed like Godsend to me in my common tests and prelims. However, Melvin is a God of common sense and he made sure to beat some into me. ECONS was easier with his Godly teachings and from there, I understood how to score an A in Alevels. Indeed, my grade jumped from D in ECONS to A in Alevels. Glory to MELVIN..
Mr. Koh's exceptional teaching skills and unwavering dedication helped me secure an A at A Levels. From the very first session, Mr. Koh demonstrated his profound knowledge of economics and his passion for imparting that knowledge to his students. His ability to simplify complex economic theories and principles into understandable concepts is truly remarkable. He has a unique talent for making even the most challenging topics accessible and engaging, through his easy-to-remember acronyms.
